While browsing the internet, I stumbled upon some vintage photographs that offer a glimpse of Okemos during the 1975 flood. Recognizing the historical significance of these images, and the challenges of finding them in the first place I decided to archive them on my website, ensuring their safekeeping and easy retrieval for future reference, at least for me and perhaps others that come across this post.
My goal is to continue to find these images and create posts here on my site to eventually have a decent collection for those who might be interested. I know this may end up simply being a boring collection of posts with images but I am sure there will be a few other curious people that might be on the hunt for local history that will find them useful.
